This water pump is correct for 1968 and 1969 Oldsmobile. It fits Hurst Olds 455 engines with air conditioning and heavy duty cooling and is correct for OAI, coming equipped with correct casting and impeller; casting #400269.

Pump measures at 5 1/2" and has the correct detail O on the inlet. Inlet accepts a factory 2" radiator hose.

This #400269 pump is correct for air conditioned cars and heavy duty cooling on non A/C cars.  

Using the correct cast iron impeller is a must for cooling your 400, 455 and 350 engines.  Without the proper impeller, cavitation occurs which can cause over heating.

Most rebuilds and aftermarket pumps have open stamped steel fans which do not cool properly and cause over heating.

This cast iron impeller is the key to cooling your Cutlass 442.
